Web Development Training · Ghana

Learn to build websites by building them.

Hands-on, instructor-led lessons. Each one goes from a short demonstration to supported practice, then you make a change on your own. You finish with a working project you can publish and explain.

How we teach

Every lesson ends with something you made yourself.

  1. 1

    Watch it built

A short, live demonstration of one idea, written from scratch so you see every step.

  2. 2

    Practise with support

You repeat it on your own laptop with the instructor on hand to help you get unstuck.

  3. 3

    Change it on your own

A small challenge you solve without step-by-step help, so the skill is really yours.

  4. 4

    Show and explain

You finish by presenting your project and explaining how it works.

Small, practical groupsLessons are instructor-led and built around real practice time, not long lectures.
Starter files every weekEach session comes with prepared files, so you spend your time learning rather than setting up.
Certificate of completionMeet the course requirements and receive an Alpha Designs certificate of completion.

For schools

Bring web development to your pupils.

We work with primary, JHS and SHS schools to run practical coding lessons as a club, enrichment period or holiday programme. Start with an observed demonstration, then decide whether to run a small pilot.

  • Full Basic course for SHS students, split into shorter school-approved sessions
  • Child-friendly notes, workbooks and coding challenges adapted to pupils' ages
  • Safe by design: pupils use invented details, and nothing is published without school and parent permission
  • CodeQuest included: our online classroom for pupils and teachers. See it below

CodeQuest · included with school programmes

A classroom pupils actually want to open.

CodeQuest is our online classroom. Pupils learn in short lessons, try every idea in a live code editor and play games that make practice fun. Teachers present from it and see how their class is getting on, all in one place.

The CodeQuest pupil home page: a welcome banner, a progress tracker and the next three lessons
  • A CodeQuest lesson challenge above a live code editor with a Run code button

Try it, don’t just read it

Every lesson ends in a creative challenge and a live code editor. Pupils change the code, press Run and see the result straight away.

  • The CodeQuest game arcade showing the Code scramble and Brain sparks games

    Games that make practice stick

Code puzzles and quick quizzes. Only a better score earns points, so pupils replay to understand, not to guess.

  • A pupil’s badge collection with badges such as First spark and Game explorer

    Badges that reward effort

Pupils earn badges and XP as they go, and keep their work and notes in their own backpack.

Bespoke work

Need something built? We make it for you.

The people who teach our courses also design and build for clients. Whether it is a website, a web app or training for your team, we make it to fit you rather than a template.

  • Websites

Fast, mobile-friendly sites for businesses, churches, schools and events, designed around what your visitors need to do.

  • Web apps and tools

Booking systems, dashboards, portals and learning platforms with accounts and saved data. CodeQuest is one we built.

  • Tailored training

Courses and workshops shaped around your team, school or organisation, with notes and exercises to match.

FAQ

Good to know before you join

Do I need any experience?

Not for the Basic course. It starts from your first HTML page. The Intensive course expects you to be comfortable with HTML, CSS and some JavaScript, which is why it starts with a readiness check.

What is the readiness check?

A 45-minute practical exercise in three short parts: a little HTML and CSS, a JavaScript function connected to a button, and finding a bug. It helps us make sure the Intensive course is the right fit. If it is not yet, the Basic course is a good place to start.

What equipment do I need?

A laptop. A phone alone is not enough for writing and testing code. You will also need an internet connection for publishing your work.

Is the certificate accredited?

No. It is an Alpha Designs certificate of completion, awarded when you meet the course requirements. It is not an accredited qualification.

Will this get me a job?

We cannot promise employment. What you will have is a working project you built yourself, published online, that you can show and explain.

What if I miss a session?

Each week has catch-up exercises so you can work through what you missed before the next session.

What time zone are the classes in?

All times are Ghana time (GMT).
